Zac Hamilton-Russell
We are excited to welcome Zac Hamilton-Russell as our new Musical Director in 2023.
Zachary studied Classical Piano Performance under Max Cooke OAM at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. During his time at university, he was a choral scholar with the Choir of Trinity College, University of Melbourne, and has since also sung with the Choir of St Peter’s Eastern Hill, St John’s East Malvern, St John's Camberwell, and Christ Church South Yarra. He was the organ scholar at St Andrew’s Church in Brighton from 2019 to 2021 under Dr Calvin Bowman, and is currently the Director of Music of St Martin’s Church in Hawksburn. Zachary keeps a busy accompanying schedule, working as the school accompanist at Kingswood College, Box Hill, and accompanist for the Monash University Choral Society. His other jobs include working as a tutor and accompanist with the Australian Boys Choir, a piano/theory teacher at Moving into Music in Kew, and freelance pianist/organist/conductor in the Melbourne music scene.
